SEC and FETCO discuss guidelines to develop an inclusive capital market for all

The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), led by Secretary-General Prof. Pornanong Budsaratragoon, Ph.D., and the executive team, convened a meeting with the Federation of Thai Capital Market Organizations (FETCO), led by Chairman Dr. Kobsak Pootrakool, to discuss policy directions and guidelines for jointly driving the Thai capital market development. The discussion covered promoting investment in Thai ESG funds, encouraging the adoption of Free Float Adjusted Index, and preparing measures to address the issue of mule accounts related to the capital market and investor scams. Additionally, the participants exchanged key perspectives such as the growth of finfluencers in Thailand, the data optimization for the benefit of service users (Your Data), the Ignite Finance (Financial Hub) Initiative, strategies for enhancing sustainability disclosure according to the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) (ISSB Roadmap), and topics related to Super Savings Funds (SSF). The meeting took place on 26 November 2024 at the SEC Building.
