SEC receives excellent score in the Corruption Risk Management Systems Assessment 2023 and higher score in the Integrity and Transparency Assessment 2024

Bangkok, 2 August 2024 – The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has received an excellent score in the Corruption Risk Management Systems (CRMS) Assessment 2023, conducted by the Office of the Public Sector Anti-Corruption Commission (PACC), and a higher score in the 2024 Integrity and Transparency Assessment (ITA), conducted by the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC), compared to the previous year. The score improvement reflects the SEC’s operating enhancements in various areas as well as preventive measures against corruption. 

The SEC has received excellent results in the CRMS Assessment for the year 2023 from the PACC* in the areas of approval related operation, which demonstrated the SEC’s commitment to driving and prioritizing the corruption risk assessment of the organization. The PACC notified the results of the CRMS Assessment 2023 and delivered the CRMS Assessment Certificate to the SEC on 15 July 2024. 

In addition, on 30 July 2024, the SEC received the overall score of 90.08 from the NACC’s ITA for the fiscal year 2024, an improvement from the previous year’s assessment. The areas that received higher scores compared to the previous year include budget spending, which increased to 94.66 points (from 88.46 points), operational quality, which increased to 88.36 points (from 82.43 points), the exercise of authority, which increased to 98.06 points (from 92.87 points), and the solving of corruption, which increased to 94.59 points (from 92.61 points). Additionally, in the area of corruption prevention, the SEC received the full 100 points, the same as last year. 

The SEC has committed a plan to ensure good governance, transparency, and corruption-free operation, and to enhance the efficiency of operations and services to achieve the SEC mission and better serve the needs of stakeholders continuously.

Remark: * The PACC has developed a guideline manual for establishing public sector corruption risk assessment systems and has conducted a qualitative assessment of the CRMS for the year 2023. The assessment results are divided into four levels, i.e., Upgrade, Pass, Good and Excellent.
