Minister of Finance appoints expert members to CMSB

Bangkok, 14 February 2025 – Mr. Pichai Chunhavajira, Minister of Finance, has signed an order appointing two new expert members to the Capital Market Supervisory Board (CMSB), Mr. Chanant Charnchainarong and Mrs. Varunee Pridanonda, effective 31 January 2025. They replace Mrs. Saranya Chindavanig and Mr. Ekachai Chongvisal, whose terms have ended.  

Mr. Chanant Charnchainarong earned a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering, King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi, and a Master of Business Administration, Seattle University, USA. Currently, he is a member of the Financial Institution Policy Committee (FIPC), the Bank of Thailand.

Mrs. Varunee Pridanonda earned a Bachelor of Accountancy in Accounting (with Honors), Chulalongkorn University, and a Master of Business Administration, Western Illinois University, USA. Currently, she holds several key positions, for example, Board Member and Chairman of the Accounting Systematisation Committee, the Federation of Accounting Professions (TFAC) under the Royal Patronage of His Majesty the King, etc.
