Bangkok, September 8, 2014 ? The SEC jointly with alliances and partners from the ?Financial Literacy: Road to Thailand?s Prosperity? Project organized an event on ?Preparing for Happy Retirement?. The event aims to disseminate knowledge on financial management where visitors can meet at booths for advice on finance and health, targeting those about to retire in preparation for entering a new stage of live.
SEC Secretary-General Vorapol Socatiyanurak said the SEC jointly with alliances and partners from the ?Financial Literacy: Road to Thailand?s Prosperity? Project will co-host an event on ?Preparing for Happy Retirement? to urge those at working and near retirement ages to realize importance on preparation for financial as well as mental and physical health prior to beginning of the new stage of live. At present, a lot of 60-year-old persons are healthy and intelligent to make contribution to many useful activities and have longer live expectancy. With larger amount of pensions to be obtaining upon retirement, both financial and lifestyle management must be appropriately adjusted.
The visitors will learn of knowledge on financial planning and management of pensions, financial products for retirees, debt management as well as awareness on financial crimes. Furthermore, advice on running business for those in need for more revenue will be provided while information on volunteer jobs will also be available for those intending to engage in social activities. At the event, a number of experts and well-known orators will inspire the audiences to have enjoyable and happy retired lives. Meanwhile, a variety of booths await all visitors at the event, ranging from financial knowledge and products to health and enjoyable activities after retirement.
