SEC appoints new Deputy Secretary-General

Bangkok, October 1, 2014 ? The SEC Board appointed Tipsuda Thavaramara, Senior Assistant Secretary-General as a Deputy Secretary-General. The appointment becomes effective as from October 1, 2014.

Tipsuda Thavaramara graduated with a Bachelor degree in Mathematics from Harvard University, USA, and a Master of Business Administration from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, USA. Joining the SEC since 1993, Tipsuda has extensive experience in market and intermediaries supervisions and development, research and strategic planning. Moreover, she has had prominent roles in Capital Market Development Master Plan as well as development of Thai bond market and legal framework for derivatives.  Prior to this appointment, Tipsuda was appointed as Assistant Secretary-General in 2007 and Senior Assistant Secretary-General in 2011.
