SEC announces six offenders in ABC share manipulation case consent to civil sanction

Bangkok, 13 June 2018 ? The SEC has announced that the other six offenders in the share manipulation case against Asset Bright Public Company Limited (ABC) have consented to the civil sanction imposed on them and paid separate civil penalties at the total amount of more than 120 million baht. The six offenders are: (1) Mr. Sathit Roongwatanapak, (2) Mr. Chavin Roongwatanapak, (3) Ms. Tanyapa Sawessil, (4) Ms. Sorod Jantratip, (5) Ms. Iryne Tangpoolcharoen, and (6) Mrs. Saliga Tangpoolcharoen. 

Earlier, the Civil Sanction Committee resolved for the SEC to impose civil sanction on seven offenders who conspired to manipulate the ABC price (as detailed in SEC News No. 59/2018, dated 7 June 2018). Of this group, one offender has already signed a statement of consent and fully paid his civil penalty.

The other six offenders later consented and fully paid separate civil penalties, as follows: Sathit and Chavin paid an equal amount of 57.97 million baht while Tanyapa, Sorod and Iryne paid 500,000 baht each, and Saliga paid 2.83 million baht. The money received from all civil penalties will be submitted to the Ministry of Finance as public revenue.
