The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), represented by Ms. Archinee Pattamasukhon, Assistant Secretary-General and Head of the SEC Complaint Center, participated in a panel discussion on scammer tactics under the Building Thai Resilience Against Scams 1212 ETDA (2nd) Project, organized by the Electronic Transactions Development Agency (ETDA). The event was presided over by Mrs. Ubonrat Puangpinyo, Vice Governor of Chiang Rai Province. During the discussion, Ms. Archinee highlighted the SEC's efforts to protect investors from scammers, emphasizing the collaboration among agencies and platform providers to prevent potential victims and minimize damage from various investment scams. Additionally, the SEC set up a booth to promote contacts and channels for reporting investment scams, aiming to build investors’ awareness through various media. The event was attended by 150 community leaders on 5 September 2024, in Chiang Rai Province.
