SEC organizes a monthly media briefing in September 2024

The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), in collaboration with the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET), provided information to the press at the monthly media briefing in September 2024. Mr. Anek Yooyuen, SEC Deputy Secretary-General and Spokesperson, recapped updates on key operational matters. These included the publication of the clarifying statement regarding channels and scope of services for foreign business operators to provide services for Thai investors, guidelines for facilitating Ease of Doing Business in Thailand, the SEC’s law enforcement activities, the suspension of unlicensed business operators' exhibition booths, and the access restriction of investment scam platforms. 

Additionally, Mr. Rongrak Phanapavudhikul, SET Senior Executive Vice President and Spokesperson, discussed the securities-based lines of credit (SBLOC), explaining the SBLOC structures, considerations before taking out an SBLOC, and outlining the guidelines for disclosing information on SBLOC transactions outside regulatory supervision. The briefing took place on 24 September 2024 at the SEC Building.
