The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), represented by Ms. Archinee Pattamasukhon, Assistant Secretary-General and Head of the Complaint Center, accepted the Outstanding Cooperation Award 2024 from Mr. Prasert Jantararuangtong, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Digital Economy and Society. The award ceremony took place during a workshop on the use of a system for coordinating fake news verification and establishing a network for entities involved in addressing fake news issues across five news categories and legal groups. The workshop was organized by the Anti-Fake News Center Thailand (AFNC) for agencies that meet the selection criteria for cooperation with the AFNC in fact-checking, a crucial part of the process of disseminating accurate information to the public and controlling the spread of fake news. The SEC was one of the 10 award recipients selected from over 400 organizations. The event was held at Centara Life Government Complex Hotel & Convention Centre Chaeng Watthana on 13 February 2025.
