of the SEC’s mission is to support long-term financial well-being of the Thai
people. The Public Empowerment through Capital Market Knowledge Initiative is a
contribution to the public thanks to the collaborative efforts of the business
sector. We would like to thank the 24 participants sincerely for recognizing
the power of knowledge and sharing their financial and investment knowledge and
skills for the public to apply in building a good quality of life. The Thai
capital market stands ready as an accessible platform for people of all ages to
achieve their goals. We invite interested businesses to join us as we continue
our activities under this Initiative throughout the first quarter of this year,”
said SEC Secretary-General Pornanong Budsaratragoon.
The knowledge-building activities conducted by participating businesses, as
submitted in their activity reports to the SEC, are a means of imparting
financial and investment knowledge to the public apart from the businesses’
normal operations. Such activities were conducted in various formats, including
production and dissemination of financial and investment knowledge materials on
social media, establishment of learning centers, financial and investment skills
competitions for youth and students, financial planning for retirement
programs, and volunteer training programs on community financial education, etc.
Since the launch of the Initiative in 2023, the knowledge-sharing activities
have reached a diverse range of target groups nationwide, accounting for over 3
million persons.
The first phase of the Initiative will run until 31
