SEC executive appointment

Bangkok, 6 November 2024 – The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has appointed Mr. Surasak Ritthongpitak as Assistant Secretary-General – Intermediaries Supervision and Market, in charge of the Intermediaries Policy Department, the Intermediaries Supervision Department and the Market Supervision Department. His appointment will become effective from 1 January 2025. 

Mr. Surasak Ritthongpitak holds a Bachelor of Business (Finance) (2nd Class Honors) from University of Wollongong, Australia, and a Master of Business Administration (Management) from Saginaw State Valley University, USA. He also obtained a Master of Science – Finance (Financial Risk Management) (1st Class Honors) from University of Reading, UK, as a recipient of an SEC scholarship. Additionally, he is a chartered financial analyst (CFA) and a financial risk manager (FRM). Prior to the appointment, he has served in the positions of Director of the Intermediaries Policy Department and the Market Supervision Department.
