Bangkok, April 18, 2014 ? The SEC is seeking further public comment on revision of asset management company?s reporting which was posted for public hearing in late 2013. The revision proposes to eliminate private fund?s custodian reporting requirement as the custodian does not value the assets on mark to market basis. In order to provide investors with more accurate information on the fund?s asset value, such reporting requirement will be imposed on asset management companies which mark to market regularly. In addition, details and frequency of disclosure on mutual fund?s investment will also be reviewed in line with international practices.
The consultation paper is available on www.sec.or.th. Stakeholders and interested parties are welcome to submit comments through the website, or facsimile number at 0-2263-6301 or email address at subhara@sec.or.th until April 28, 2014.
