SEC public hearing on a proposed revision to intermediaries? annual fee scheme

Bangkok, June 21, 2016 ? The SEC is seeking public comments on a proposed revision to the annual fee rates of intermediaries in the categories of securities business, derivatives agent, asset management and limited brokerage, dealing and underwriting of investment units (LBDU)

In revising the annual fee scheme, the SEC has taken into consideration intermediaries? existing cost factor and potential competitiveness in the international market; the collection criteria would be simplified in appropriate proportion to the business size and volume of each type of intermediaries. In any case, minimum and maximum rates would apply.
The new annual fee scheme is expected for launch next year.
