SEC teams up with financial and media allies to present a month-long series of online free seminars on financial and investment management

Bangkok, 30 April 2020 – SEC, in cooperation with the Thai Financial Planners Association and Thai PBS news media channel, will organize a series of online seminars under the theme, “How to Stay Financially Fit during Covid-19” to provide the public with financial and investment knowledge applicable to the current situation. The 5-episode series will be broadcast live simultaneously on four Facebook pages. The first episode kicks off on 1 May 2020.

The seminar series will showcase a pool of knowledge and advice from certified financial planners (CFP) and experts on financial, investment and debt management. Investors and the interested public can also learn useful tips for managing financial health during Covid-19 situation as well as guidelines for self-adjustment and business planning advice for SMEs after the situation improves. 

The interested public can watch the free online seminars broadcast live on four Facebook pages, namely: @sec.or.th, @StartToInvest, @ThaiFinancialPlanners and @ThaiPBSFan, in line with the social distancing measure to control the spread of COVID-19. The seminars will be broadcast live every Friday throughout the month of May, from 16.00 to 17.00 hours. The episodes in chronological order are as follows:
 1.  “How to Invest in the Time of COVID-19”
 2.  “A Way Out for Debtors: Face the Debts and Ready to Repay”
 3.  “How to Manage Life Insurance during COVID-19 Situation”
 4.  “A New Normal: Financial Behaviors after COVID-19”
 5.  “Stronger SMEs: a Silver Lining after COVID-19”
 
The first episode, “How to Invest in the Time of COVID-19” will be launched on Friday, 1 May 2020, featuring Mr. Paiboon Nalinthrangkurn, Chairman of the Federation of Thai Capital Market Organizations, Ms. Siriporn Suwannakarn, CFP, and Mr. Tanut Sirivarangkul,  or Doctor Nut of Fund Clinic Page, with Ms. Sinida Petchveerakun as moderator.
