SEC receives Honorable Mention Plaque at the 9th NACC Integrity Awards 2019

Bangkok, 3 July 2020 – SEC has been awarded the Honorable Mention Plaque and Certificate at the 9th NACC Integrity Awards 2019 Ceremony organized by the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) today. This is SEC’s first year of voluntary participation in the NACC project to reinforce SEC’s intention to operate with integrity, transparency and good corporate governance and enhance public confidence in the SEC’s operation.

On behalf of SEC, Secretary-General Ruenvadee Suwanmongkol accepted the Honorable Mention Plaque and Certificate of the 9th NACC Integrity Awards 2019 from Pol. Gen. Watcharapol Prasarnrajkit, NACC President, and Gen. Boonyavat Kruahongs, NACC commissioner and Chairman of the 9th NACC Integrity Award Consideration Subcommittee, at the NACC Office in Nonthaburi province. 

The NACC Integrity Awards Project aims to enhance national transparency, boost morale, applaud governmental organizations’ exemplary role, and promote corporate value of management based on good governance, professional ethics and social responsibility. The award consideration criteria are divided into four categories, namely (1) performing duties responsibly, (2) performing duties under the rule of law, (3) operating in protection of human rights and in compliance with international codes of ethics, and (4) operating with transparency and having a fair procurement system against frauds and bribery.  

 

“SEC gives an importance to work operation based on the principles of integrity, transparency and good governance to ensure that all sectors have confidence in SEC operation. We participated in the NACC Integrity Awards Project voluntarily for the first time in September 2019, and NACC announced that SEC was one of the 20 recipients of the NACC Integrity Awards 2019 on 19 March 2020. We also participate in the Integrity & Transparency Assessment (ITA), which is conducted on governmental agencies.” Said Secretary-General Ruenvadee.
