Bangkok, 30 April 2020 – SEC is set to launch an online training under the topic of “Playbook for Cybersecurity Incident” for capital market intermediaries, to strengthen and support the readiness of cybersecurity and to be able to apply knowledge more effectively.
SEC Secretary-General Ruenvadee
Suwanmongkol said, "Under the current
global situation that technology and user behavior has changed dramatically,
which may come with cybersecurity risks, SEC has realized the importance of
business preparation in this matter. For this reason, SEC is set to launch an online training under
the topic of “Incident Response from the Pentester’s Eyes View” and
“Cybersecurity Incident Playbook: Priorities & Best Practices”, which will
be graced by the presences of honorable speakers from private sector and SEC
Assistant Secretary-General Kumpol Sontanarat
will give an opening remarks. The online training is in accordance with the
physical distancing guidelines to help reduce and prevent the spread of the coronavirus
disease 2019 (COVID-19).
This online training is
designed to encourage and support capital market intermediaries to have a cyber
resilience, as well as to prepare playbook for cybersecurity incidents, which
is an important part of the Cybersecurity Act B.E. 2562 (2019), with the hope that capital market intermediaries will apply this knowledge into their
playbooks in order to cope with cyber threats more effectively."
SEC will
publish online training channels on the topic "Preparing Playbook for
Cybersecurity Incidents" to capital market business operators and open the online training system on May 1, 2020.
