Bangkok, 24 July 2019 - SEC has launched open data services for fund raising both in equity and debt securities. The data contain 10-years historical records. The aim is to provide an easy access to the public for investment decision making.
SEC Assistant Secretary-General Kumpol Sontanarat said
that SEC has recently provided additional service for the capital market. The
open data database contain 10-year historical records of fund raising
activities both in equity and debt securities including the details of the fund
mobilizers by industry, companies and individual instruments.
SEC has been continuously
developing the open data service in many forms which can be accessed via SEC
website. The data can be downloaded through SEC API. Open data and the API
allow for enhanced data access. In the past, the provision of such information
service was popular among its users.
However, SEC has continuously improved and
developed the data to provide services to the public by providing a variety of
information such as fund raising, products, mutual funds, listed companies,
mergers, intermediaries business operators, auditors, financial advisors,
various litigations, licensed and registered persons including mutual funds
information. This allow the analysis on asset allocation. In this regard, the
information provided through the API channel is suitable for organizations,
capital market entrepreneurs who can use raw data for further analysis to
provide customer service or the public.
